Zoe-perry
Perry is daughter to actor Laurie Metcalf, and Jeff Perry. Her first roles on television were two times on the show as Jackie Harris (as seen in flashback) in the ABC sitcom Roseanne The character was portrayed by her mom. The parents of her did not want her to perform until she turned an adult, fearing the effects of stress. Perry said that she felt timid to perform at the age of 16, but she began doing shows at Northwestern University as a way to connect with people following her transfer from Boston University. Perry was a graduate of Boston University moved from Boston to New York in search of acting roles on television. Her small part was in TV shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Then, homelessness led her to California in search of theater jobs. She performed on Broadway as a part of The Other Place with her mother in 2013. In 2015, she starred along with Kevin McKidd alongside her mother in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer-winning drama Anna Christie. The Odyssey Theatre Ensemble is located in West Los Angeles. In 2016, Perry appeared on nine episodes on ABC's drama The Family. She had a regular role as a character on ABC politics drama Scandal which starred her father. That same year she got a role as a young model of Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) in Young Sheldon, a spin-off of the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory again portraying a younger version of Mary Cooper's character. The actress was chosen for the character despite her connections to the character's family.
